The understanding of the social determinants factors of public acceptance towards the end of life vehicles

Indonesia is one of the highest producers automotive industry in Southeast Asia. However, rapid progress this sector directly poses a threat to increase End-of-Life Vehicles Indonesia. Several policies and instruments have been implemented reduce high number ELVs, such as raising vehicle taxes requiring periodic emissions testing systems determine eligibility. These initiatives, however, do not use ELV vehicles did win because rejection from users. To date, no research has done public acceptance policies. This study aims examine management, particularly gauge information about people’s knowledge, attitude, social influence, institutional trust mediation variables. A cross-sectional survey was conducted involving 243 respondents JABODETABEK (Jakarta, Bandung, Depok, Tangerang, Bogor, Bekasi). After passing satisfactory reliability validity tests, hypothesized model estimated using structural equation modelling.
